Selector Mechanism Overview, From March 2009
- Shift cover with handle
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only cover must be removed. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .
- Pull the button past its pressure point before removing the handle. Secure the button with a cable tie or some suitable wire. This prevents the button from being pushed back into knob accidentally.
- If the button is pushed in:
-- Just before installing, pull out button beyond the press point (sense this by touch).
- Selector mechanism with selector lever
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM WITH LEVER, THROUGH FEBRUARY 2009 .
- Bolt with spring
- 3 Nm
- Bolt
- Removing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, THROUGH FEBRUARY 2009 .
- Do not lubricate
- Locking plate
- Always replace after removing
- Nut
- 9 Nm
- Quantity: 4
- Selector Housing
- With seal
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not grease cable.
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, THROUGH FEBRUARY 2009 .
- Checking. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
- Nut and washer
