Special tools and workshop equipment required
Center Console, Removing
-- Remove the left and right front footwell center console trim panels. Refer to FRONT FOOTWELL CENTER CONSOLE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Display Control Head Trim, Removing and Installing. Refer to DISPLAY CONTROL HEAD TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the display control head. Refer to FRONT DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the center console insert. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE INSERT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the two screws -1- for the center console -2- on both sides.
-- Position both front seats all the way forward and up.
-- Using the Trim Removal Wedge: 3409 , remove the left and right caps -1- from the center console -3-.
-- Remove the screws -2- for the center console -3- on the left and right side.
-- Remove the bolts -1- for the center console -2-.
-- Lift the center console -1- at the rear and remove it from the instrument panel toward the rear.
-- Disconnect the external multimedia device connection. Refer to CONNECTION FOR EXTERNAL MULTIMEDIA DEVICES .
-- Carefully remove the center console -1- over the gearshift level or selector lever.
Center Console, Installing
Before installing, check all fasteners for damage and replace them if necessary.
-- Carefully insert the center console -1- and engage in the instrument panel.
-- Install the center console -2- on the instrument panel with the two screws -1-.
-- Use the screws -2- to fasten the center console -3- on the left and right side.
-- Install the caps -1- on the left and right side of the center console -3-.
-- Move both front seats as far back as possible.
-- Use the two screws -1- to fasten the center console -2- on both sides.
-- Install the center console insert. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Further installation is performed in reverse order of the removal.
