Engine, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Secure the engine to the Engine and Gearbox Bracket:VAS 6095A  when working on the engine.

When a repair is to be performed on the chain drive, use the Engine Support:3269  .

Procedure

-- Remove transmission. Refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .

-- Engage the Lifting Tackle:3033  as follows and lift out of the engine using the Shop Crane:VAS 6100  from the Engine/Gearbox Jack:V.A.G 1383 A  .

Vibration damper side: item 3.

Drive plate side: item 11.

When using the Engine and Gearbox Bracket:VAS 6095A  with the universal mounts:

-- Secure the engine to the Engine and Gearbox Bracket:VAS 6095A  as shown.

When using the Engine Support:3269

-- Tighten the Engine Support:3269  as shown on the cylinder block.
