Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Insert the screwdriver -2- into the opening -arrow- on the turbocharger and pry out the seal -1-.

-- Install new seal.

-- Place the screw-type clamp on the turbocharger.

-- If the lock washer -item  ) OVERVIEW - EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLES WITHOUT PARTICULATE FILTER - List Item: Lock Washer is to be installed, install the bracket and the lock washers before installing the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Position the catalytic converter on the turbocharger. Slightly secure the catalytic converter using the screw-type clamp.

-- Tighten the nuts and screw-type clamp. Refer to Figure. Pay attention to the installation position of the screw-type clamp. Refer to Figure.

-- Attach the driveshaft. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

Further assembly is performed in the reverse order of the removal.
