- Adjustment Gauge: 3371
- Wrench - Door Adjusting: 3320
The procedure is described on a LHD vehicle as an example.
Preparing
Requirement
- When adjusting the door, the vehicle must be resting on its wheels on a level surface.
- The door must engage in the striker without great force.
The door is correctly installed, when it is closed and:
- The gap dimensions are even.
- The contours align.
- The door is not positioned too far inward or outward.
The procedure shown is for the left side of the vehicle as an example.
Gap dimensions, adjusting
Driver side
-- Loosen and lower the Fuse Panel C -SC-. Refer to Fuse Panel C -SC-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Front passenger side
-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Remove the lower A-pillar trim panel. Refer to A-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Loosen the bolts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4-.
-- Check the gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment: 3371 . For this, pay attention to the CENTER BODY .
-- Tighten the bolts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4-.
Flush dimension, adjusting
-- Loosen the bolts -1- and -2- using the Wrench - Door Adjusting: 3320 and the respective bit.
-- Check the gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment: 3371 . For this, pay attention to the CENTER BODY .
-- Refer to Striker, Adjusting .
-- Tighten the bolts -1- and -2-.
