1. Transmission Control Module -J217-
   • The control module sends and receives data from the Data BUS
   • Component Location. Refer to Fig 1.
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
2. Engine Control Module
   • The control module sends and receives data from the Data BUS
   • Component location and removing and installing. Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE -J623-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-
   • Component location. Refer to Fig 2.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to MULTIFUNCTION TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Adjusting. Refer to MULTIFUNCTION TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH, ADJUSTING .
4. Valve Body
   • Component location. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
5. Sensor Wiring Harness
   • 8-pin wiring harness
   • With Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
   • Component location. Refer to Fig 4.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to SOLENOID VALVE AND SENSOR WIRING HARNESS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
6. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
   • Component location. Refer to Fig 4.
7. Solenoid Valve Wiring Harness
   • Wiring harness, 14-pin
   • Component location. Refer to Fig 5.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to SOLENOID VALVE AND SENSOR WIRING HARNESS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
8. Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
   • Component location: the shift lock solenoid is located in the selector mechanism.
9. Selector Mechanism
   • With the Tiptronic Switch -F189-
   • The Tiptronic Switch -F189- is a component of the selector mechanism.
   • Replace the selector mechanism if faulty. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
10. Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182-
    • Component location. Refer to Fig 6.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- AND Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
11. Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-
    • Component location. Refer to Fig 6.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- AND Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
12. Data Link Connector
    • Component location. Refer to Fig 7.
13. Transmission Range Display -Y6-
    • Component location. Refer to Fig 8.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .

Component location: The control module is located in left front wheel housing.

Multifunction Transmission Range Switch F125

Component location: The multifunction transmission range switch is located on the top side of the transmission.

Valve Body

Component location: the valve body is bolted onto the bottom of the transmission housing and is covered by the transmission fluid pan.

The Solenoid Valve 1 -N88-, Solenoid Valve 2 -N89-, Solenoid Valve 3 -N90-, Solenoid Valve 4 -N91-, Solenoid Valve 5 -N92-, Solenoid Valve 6 -N93-, Solenoid Valve 9 -N282- and Solenoid Valve 10 -N283- are secured on the valve body.
