-- Disconnect the fiber-optic cable from the radio and attach the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps: VAS6223/9  to the disconnected fiber-optic cable connection.

Fiber-optic cable is very delicate!

The fiber-optic cable must not be kinked or significantly bent!

The bending radius must not be less than 25 mm.

A kinked fiber-optic cable is no longer usable, data transfer via kinked fiber-optic cable is faulty!

Please do not remove the protective caps from the ends of the fiber-optic cable until the fiber-optic cable is connected to the intended unit.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal.

When replacing radio navigation system control modules, it is necessary to adapt the replaced control modules to the vehicle. If this is not performed, component protection is activated for these control modules so that they do not work or only on a highly limited basis.

Adapt the control module. Refer to ANTI-THEFT COMPONENT PROTECTION .
