Level Control System Sensor, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Only sensors of the same version may be installed.

Tightening specifications, refer to OVERVIEW - CONTROL ARM, BALL JOINT, GUIDE LINK AND LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR .

Guide the retaining hook on the sensor bracket into the subframe.

The sensor lever must point toward the back.

Check the basic setting of the headlamp adjustment after loosening, refer to HID HEADLAMP, ADJUSTING, ADJUSTING, USA VEHICLES or HID HEADLAMPS, ADJUSTING, REST-OF-WORLD VEHICLES .

-- If the level control system sensor was removed and installed on a vehicle with electronically controlled damping or if the linkage was loosened, the control position must be reprogrammed using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, refer to CONTROL POSITION, REPROGRAMMING USING Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- If the control position was reprogrammed on vehicles with lane assist, the Directional Stabilization Assistance Control Module -J759- must be calibrated again, refer to CALIBRATION PROCEDURE .
