Control Position, Reprogramming Using Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester with Corresponding Diagnostic Cable
- During a test drive, the testing and measuring equipment must always be secured on the back seat.
- These devices may be operated only by a passenger during a test drive.
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to the vehicle using the appropriate diagnostic cable.
-- Switch on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
The Vehicle Diagnostic Tester is ready to operate when it displays operating modes in button fields.
-- Turn on the ignition.
Requirements
- The vehicle must be standing on an even surface.
- The vehicle may not be loaded.
- The Electronic Damping Control Module -J250- must be coded.
- The DTC memory may not contain any vehicle level sensor DTC memory entries.
If control modules or electric/electronic components were replaced, then the components must be adapted under "Guided Functions".
-- Touch Guided Functions and the screen.
Then:
-- Select the corresponding program in "Guided Functions".
-- Follow the prompts on the screen.
If the control position was programmed again on vehicles with lane assist, the Directional Stabilization Assistance Control Module -J759- with integrated camera must be calibrated, refer to CALIBRATION PROCEDURE .
