ATF Level, Checking And Filling: Notes

Please observe the notes:

For this repair information. Refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION .
For the ATF. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID .
It may be necessary to shorten the bleed pipe on the : VAS6262A . Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING - Shorten the bleed pipe on the: VAS6262A as follows: .

If the oil pan or the overflow tube was removed, fill the ATF only after installing the pan. Refer to ATF, DRAINING AND FILLING .

Bleed the ATF circuit if it was opened earlier. Refer to ATF CIRCUIT, BLEEDING .

Only then can the ATF level be checked and corrected. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING .

ATF is available as a replacement part.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Shorten the bleed pipe on the: VAS6262A as follows:

-- The bleed pipe on the : VAS6262A must be shorted to dimension -a- so that it does not touch the bottom on some containers.

Dimension -a- = 210 mm

NOTE:

Dimension -a- is measured starting from the shaft of the : VAS6262 A (green surface in the magnified area).

-- Make a mark on the bleed pipe, dimension -a-, and shorten it with the : VAS6056/2 .

If ATF is filled, only use ATF available as a replacement part. Refer to Parts Information.
