16.3 Camera Control Module - J852-, Removing And Installing
The Camera Control Module - J852- and the Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera - R242- are a single component. It is not possible to remove or install them separately.
Removing
- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.
- Remove the camera cover. Refer to Body Interior (Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim; Camera Cover, Removing and Installing).
- Press both tabs -arrows- and remove the control module -1- from the retaining plate on the interior rearview mirror.
- Disconnect both connectors -arrows- and remove the Camera Control Module - J852- -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
NOTE:
Make sure the guides on the bottom of the control module housing -arrows- fit correctly in the guides on the retaining plate when installing the Camera Control Module - J852-.
- Install the camera cover. Refer to Body Interior (Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim; Camera Cover, Removing and Installing).
- Calibrate the Camera Control Module - J852-. Refer to 16.5 Camera Control Module - J852-, Calibrating
