TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

The WIN module may have been replaced previously to upgrade vehicle with remote start options, or involved in Safety Recall 28G1 or 28H1 for MY2009-2010.

NOTE: If the WIN module has been previously replaced, ETKA may not list the latest module needed to replace the current WIN module in the vehicle.

Before ordering or replacing the vehicle WIN module the following should be verified:

Does the vehicle currently have a remote start system?

Is the vehicle involved in previous Safety Recall 28G1 or latest Safety Recall 28H1, and has the WIN module update been performed?

Use the WIN module chart below to properly identify the Volkswagen part number needed.

Using the wiTECH Desktop Client, identify the WIN module Chrysler part number.

Match the Chrysler part number to Volkswagen part number.

NOTE: If the vehicle was repaired previously with Safety Recall 28G1 The detent ring MUST be discarded. DO NOT reinstall the detent ring after replacing the WIN module.

NOTE: If the suggested part is superseded in Parts On Command, always order the latest supersession.
