Adjusting Procedure

-- Move the selector lever into the "N" position.

-- Do not bend the selector lever cable.

Adjustment Prerequisites

Alignment

-- Place the setting gauge T10173 on the selector shaft -2- and turn the Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125- -1- until the setting gauge T10173 locks into the tab on the Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125- connector.

NOTE:

If the tab on the connector does not lock into the groove in the setting gauge T10173, then the transmission is no longer in "N" . In this case, shift the transmission into "N" using the setting gauge T10173.

-- Tighten the setting gauge T10173 on the selector shaft -2- with the bolt -3- .

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows- to 6 Nm.

-- Remove the setting gauge T10173.

-- Further installation is performed in the reverse of removal. Refer to Installing .
