Abs Mark 60 EC (Abs/EDL/ASR/Esp) Component Overview

ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104-
- Component location: At hydraulic unit on right side of engine compartment.
- Do not disconnect connector before successfully completing On Board Diagnostic (OBD). Switch ignition off before separating connector.
  The following components are integrated inside the control module:
  - Sensor for Transverse Acceleration -G200-
  - Rotation Rate Sensor -G202-
  - Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor -G251- (depending on the vehicle equipment level)
- Removal and installation, refer to CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC UNIT, REMOVING .
ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-
- Component location: in engine compartment, right.
  The hydraulic unit consists of the components:
  - ABS Hydraulic Pump -V64-
  - Brake Pressure Sensor -G201-
  - Valve block (contains the in/outlet valves)
- The ABS hydraulic pump and valve block must not be separated from one another.
- Removal and installation, refer to CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC UNIT, REMOVING .
Brake Pad Wear Indicator Lamp -K32-
- Component location: In the instrument cluster.
- Function, refer to ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP INDICATOR LAMPS .
ABS Warning Lamp -K47-
- Component location: In the instrument cluster.
- Function, refer to ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP INDICATOR LAMPS .
ASR/ESP Control Lamp -K155-
- Only on vehicles with ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP.
- Component location: In the instrument cluster.
- Function, refer to ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP INDICATOR LAMPS .
Brake System Warning Lamp -K118-
- Component location: In the instrument cluster.
- Function, refer to ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP INDICATOR LAMPS .
Brake Light Switch -F-
- Includes Brake Pedal Switch -F47-
- Component location: On brake master cylinder.
- Removal and installation, refer to BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH .
ASR/ESP Button -E256-
- Only on vehicles with ABS/EDL/ASR/ESP.
- Component location: in center console.
Diagnostic Connection
- Component location: cover in driver footwell.
Steering Angle Sensor -G85-
NOTE:
The steering angle sensor is installed inside the steering gear on vehicles with generation 3 electro-mechanical steering.
- Component location: inside the steering gear.
- Removal and installation, refer to STEERING ANGLE SENSOR .
Right Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G45- /Left Front ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G47-
- Removal and installation, refer to ABS SYSTEM COMPONENTS AT FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
Wheel Bearing Unit
- The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing.
Right Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G44- /Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G46-
- Removal and installation, FWD, refer to ABS SYSTEM COMPONENTS AT REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW, FWD .
- Removal and installation, AWD, refer to ABS SYSTEM COMPONENTS ON REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW, AWD .
Wheel Hub with Wheel Bearing
- The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing.
