A/C Compressor Sub-Assembly Bracket, Engine Code BRM: Notes
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331/ (5 to 50 Nm)
The bracket for A/C compressor and ancillary parts can be removed and installed without opening the refrigerant circuit.
To remove the ribbed belt, refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4, 09G] [For engine(s) CBTA, CBUA] RIBBED BELT or refer to [For transmission(s) 02E, 02Q] [For engine(s) CJAA] RIBBED BELT .

Removing
-- Remove generator. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4, 02E, 09G, 02Q] [For engine(s) CBTA, CJAA, CBUA] Removal and Installation .
-- Loosen A/C compressor, unscrew hex-bolts -7-. Remove A/C compressor from auxiliary component bracket and secure to body with appropriate material (e.g. welding wire), refer to SECURING A/C COMPRESSOR TO BODY .
-- Unscrew bolts -1- to -6- and remove auxiliary component bracket from cylinder block.
- Always observe tightening torque of mounting bolts:
-- Tighten hex bolts, items -1-, -2-, -3-, -4-, -5- and -6- in succession.

- Quantity: 2
- Make sure they fit correctly between the auxiliary component bracket and the A/C compressor.
