Selector Mechanism Overview
As of 11 September 2009 the Tiguan will have an revised selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM OVERVIEW, FROM 11 SEPTEMBER 2009 .
WARNING:
Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
- Selector Handle with Cover
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .
- Manual release, refer to SELECTOR LEVER MANUAL RELEASE .
- Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM WITH LEVER .
- Spring wit Bolt
- 3 Nm
- Pin
- Do not lubricate.
- Retainer Plate
- Always replace after removing.
- Nut
- 9 Nm
- Quantity: 4
- Selector Housing
- With a seal.
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not grease the cable.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE .
- Checking, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
- Nut
- 8 Nm
