Selector Mechanism, Overview

WARNING:

Move the selector lever into the "P" Position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.

Selector Handle with Cover
- Handle removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .
- Emergency release, refer to SELECTOR LEVER MANUAL RELEASE .
Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever
- Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
  Passat, Passat CC and CC, refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM WITH LEVER .

Spring with Bolt
- 3 Nm
Pin
- Do not lubricate.
Retainer Plate
- Always replace after removing.
Nut
- 9 Nm
- Quantity: 4.
Selector Housing
- With a seal.
Selector Lever Cable
- Do not grease the cable.
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE .
- Checking, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
Nut
- 8 Nm
- Quantity: 4.
