Selector Mechanism With Lever

NOTE:

Check the cable for ease of movement after installing it.

-- Remove the center console. Refer to "Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim" in Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the cable from transmission. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE .

-- Remove the exhaust system components underneath the heat shield. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM COMPONENTS for CCTA engines or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION for BLV engines .

With All Wheel Drive (AWD) Vehicles:

-- Remove the driveshaft. Refer to the appropriate service information.

Continuation for all Vehicles:

-- Remove the heat shield under the vehicle.

-- Remove the 4 nuts for the selector mechanism from above.

-- Remove the selector mechanism.

Tightening specification for the nuts: 8 Nm

-- After installing, check the cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
