Shift Unit Overview
NOTE:
Lubricate the bearing areas and sliding surfaces.
- Nut
- Removing and installing, see 17.
- Transmission Shift Lever
- Can be replaced with the gear shift unit still installed.
- Installed position, refer to Figure.
- Installing, refer to Figure.
- Adjust the shift mechanism after installation. Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Sliding Shoe
- Clipped into the relay lever.
- Bushing
- Not needed with the plastic relay lever.
- Relay Lever
- Installed position, refer to Figure.
- Adjust the shift mechanism after installation. Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Plastic relay lever as of 03.07. Refer to PLASTIC RELAY LEVER .
- Gear Shift Unit
- Consisting of the gear shift unit shaft and the shift cover.
- The components cannot be separated from each other.
- Can be removed and installed with the transmission installed.
- Gear shift shaft adapted together with the revised reverse gear selector fork mounting.
- Allocation, gear shift shafts. Refer to Fig 2.
- Bushing
- For the gear shift shaft.
- Removing and installing, see item 16.
- O-ring
- Insert in the groove in the shift cover.
- Install using transmission fluid.
- Always replace.
- Cap
- For the transmission ventilation.
- Circlip
- For the relay lever.
- Not needed with the plastic relay lever.
- Selector Shaft Seal
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL .
