Lock Carrier Assembly Overview

- Lock carrier
- Removing:
-- Remove the front section, refer to FRONT SECTION ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
-- Remove the release cable on the lock and disconnect the connector.
-- Remove the bolts and remove the bumper carrier, refer to -item - and -item - and refer to -item -.
-- Remove the radiator and the condenser from the lock carrier.
-- Secure the radiator and the condenser in the engine compartment.
NOTE:Do not disengage condenser at lines.
Condenser lines must not be kinked.
-- Remove bolts, refer to -item -.
-- Remove the lock carrier along with the connecting plate and the lock.
- Installing:
-- Align the lock carrier to the longitudinal member.
-- Adjust the headlamps.

- 6 Nm
- For the radiator mount
- Bolt

- Six pieces (USA)
- 30 Nm
- Bolt

- Bumper carrier
- With noise insulation

- Attached with butyl sealing cord AKL 450 005 05

- Secured to lock carrier using pop rivets

- Removing and Installing, refer to HOOD LOCK

- When reusing: Clean the bolt thread using a wire brush and clean the nut thread using a tap, coat the bolt with locking compound D 185 400 A2.
