Front Section Assembly Overview
The removal and installation for the front section of the vehicle through 06.05 is described in the overview. The removal and installation is, except for minor differences, based on vehicles from 07.05.
The front fender and the front bumper cover collectively make up the front section and can only be removed from the vehicle together.
It is important to note the bolt tightening sequence -4- in order to ensure surface alignment and joint.
The front section must be installed without tension.
- Front section
- Removing:
-- Remove the front headlamp. Refer to Removal and Installation .
-- Remove wheelhouse liners. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
-- Remove the bolts in the wheel housing, refer to -item - and -item - and -item -.
-- Disconnect the connector for the turn signal and the fog lamp.
-- Disconnect the hose connections for vehicles with headlamp washer system. Refer to Removal and Installation
-- Remove the nuts, refer to -item -.
-- Remove the expanding clip, refer to -item -.
-- Remove the screws, refer to -item - and -item -.
-- Pull the front left and right sections out from the threaded pin and remove it from the vehicle towards the front with the help of a second mechanic.
- Installing:
-- Apply the anti-friction film to the contact area before attaching the front section and check the condition of the previous anti-friction film, refer to -item -.
-- Assemble the noise insulation on both sides in the correct locations on the longitudinal member and pay attention to the correct striker pin on the headlamp bracket, refer to -item -.
