When automatic transmission is replaced, check VW ATF in planetary transmission, (see ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND TOPPING UP ), and gear oil in final drive (see FINAL DRIVE OIL LEVEL, CHECKING ) should be checked and topped up as necessary. Capacities and specifications can be found in CAPACITIES .
