ATF pump, disassembling and assembling: Notes
Replacement ATF pump parts and the ATF pump must comply with transmission code.

- Check for correct location

- Sealing lips are vulcanized to the piston
- Moisten sealing lips with ATF before installing
- Turn piston slightly when installing

- Tightening torque: 10 N.m (7 ft lb) plus and additional 1/8 turn (45 °)

- Outer gear
- Manufacturer's marking (arrow) faces stator support
- If outer gear is incorrectly installed, ATF pump may not operate freely in installed position
- Inner gear
- Larger groove faces stator support
- Housing for ATF pump
- O-ring
- Always replace
