DTC Troubleshooting

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
Seat belt buckle sensor circuit check 
  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
  2. Disconnect "L175" or "L176" connector.
  3. Disconnect "L04" connector.
  4. Check for proper connection to "L04-22" terminal (for DTC B1382) or "L04-20" connector (for DTC B1385).
  5. Check for proper connection to "L175" or "L176" connector.
  6. Check the following points.
    • Resistance between "L04-22" and "L176-1" terminals (DTC B1382): 1 Ω or less
    • Resistance between "L176-2" and ground (DTC B1382): 1 Ω or less
    • Resistance between "L04-20" and "L175-1" terminals (DTC B1385): 1 Ω or less
    • Resistance between "L175-2" and ground (DTC B1385): 1 Ω or less

      Special Tool 

      1. 09932-76010

Are they in good condition? 
Go to Step 3. Repair open in defective wire.
Seat belt buckle sensor circuit check 
  1. Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
  2. Check the following points.
    • Voltage between "L176-1" terminal and ground (DTC B1382): 0 V
    • Voltage between "L175-1" terminal and ground (DTC B1385): 0 V

      Special Tool

Are they in good condition? 
Replace seat belt buckle sensor, and recheck voltage.
If this DTC is still detected, replace SDM.
Repair short to power supply or other circuit in defective wire.
NOTE: Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
  • Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
  • Clear DTCs, referring to DTC CLEARANCE , if any DTC is detected.
  • Repeat AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
