DTC Troubleshooting

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
1  Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
2  OCM power supply and ground circuits check 
  1. Check OCM power supply and ground circuits.

Are they in good condition? 		 Go to Step 3. Repair OCM power supply or ground circuit.
3  OCM circuit check 
  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
  2. Disconnect "L05" and "L08" connectors.
  3. Check for proper connection to at "L05-15" terminal.
  4. Check for proper connection to at "L08-1" terminal.
  5. Measure resistance between "L05-15" and "L08- 1" terminals.

    Special Tool 

    1. 09932-76010

Is measured resistance 1Ω or less? 		 Go to Step 4. Repair open or high resistance in defective circuit.
4  OCM circuit check 
  1. Measure resistance between "L05-15" terminal and ground.

Is resistance infinite? 		 Go to Step 5. Repair short to ground in defective circuit.
5  OCM circuit check 
  1. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  2. Measure voltage between "L05-15" terminal and ground.

Is each measured voltage 0 V? 		 Go to Step 6. Repair short to power supply in defective circuit.
6  DTC check 
  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
  2. Connect scan tool to DLC.
  3. Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON", and check DTC.

Is DTC B1317 still indicated? 		 Replace seat cushion built in OCM with sensor mat. If DTC still exists, substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. Intermittent trouble. Check intermittent trouble.
NOTE: Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
  • Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
  • Clear DTCs, referring to DTC CLEARANCE , if any DTC is detected.
  • Repeat AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
