Brake Booster Removal and Installation: Installation

- Install brake booster to dash panel. Then connect push rod clevis (3) to pedal arm with clevis pin (1) and clip (2).
- Tighten brake booster nuts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Brake booster nut: 13 N.m (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 lbf-ft)
- Install brake master cylinder assembly to brake booster, see Brake Master Cylinder Assembly Removal and Installation .
- Connect brake pipes to ESP® hydraulic unit/control module assembly and to brake master cylinder assembly, see BRAKE HOSE AND PIPE COMPONENTS .
- Install the following parts.
- Battery and battery tray, see BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Air cleaner, see AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Bleed air from brake system, see Air Bleeding of Brake System .
- Check brake pedal free height and play.
- Brake pedal free height: Brake Pedal Free Height Inspection .
- Brake pedal play: Brake Pedal Play Inspection .
- Adjust brake light switch and then connect brake light switch connector, see Brake Light Switch Adjustment .
- Check installed parts for fluid leakage and make sure that brake system operates properly.
