Oil Pressure Switch On-Vehicle Inspection

- With hose connected, detach P/S pump from its bracket. See P/S PUMP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove P/S pump bracket. See P/S HOSE/PIPE COMPONENTS .
- Disconnect oil pressure switch connector (1).
- Install P/S pump bracket. See P/S HOSE/PIPE COMPONENTS .
- Install P/S pump. See P/S PUMP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Check for continuity between oil pressure switch terminal (2) and cylinder block (3) as shown. If check result is not as specified, replace oil pressure switch (4).
Oil pressure sensor specification
During engine running: No continuity
At engine stop: Continuity
