Circuit/System Testing

Ignition OFF, disconnect the 22-way automatic transmission (AT) wiring harness connector (C2) at the TCM.
Ignition ON, at the TCM, test for 4.8 - 5.2 volts between the TFT sensor high signal circuit terminal 14 and low signal circuit terminal 13.
- If not within the specified range, replace the TCM, refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL and TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION procedure.
Verify the scan tool TCM, Trans. Fluid Temp. parameter is less than 11°C.
- If greater than the specified value, replace the TCM, refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL and TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION procedure.
Install a 3-A fused jumper wire between the TFT sensor high signal circuit terminal 14 and low signal circuit terminal 13. Verify the scan tool TCM, Trans. Fluid Temp. parameter is greater than 109°C.
- If less than the specified value, replace the TCM, refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL and TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE INSTALLATION procedure.
Ignition OFF, on the AT harness, test for 200 - 8000 ohm of resistance between the TFT sensor high signal circuit terminal 14 and low signal circuit terminal 13.
- If not within the specified range, replace AT wiring harness, refer to WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL procedure and WIRING HARNESS INSTALLATION procedure.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the AT wiring harness, refer to WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL procedure and WIRING HARNESS INSTALLATION procedure.
