CONDITION
The radio may exhibit fluctuating volume, excessive radio static and possible weak FM reception in areas where FM reception is moderate.
CAUSE
Radio Software
CORRECTION
DO NOT REPLACE THE RADIO! A software update is available to address this concern. Please follow the service manual procedure to reprogram the radio with the latest software. Be sure to click "Clear DTC's" after programming finishes. See below.
NOTE:
If the radio is replaced for a defect the replacement unit may have the old software. Please update the software after radio replacement.
