CONDITION
The 2004 Forenza Service Manual has the incorrect keyless entry system programming procedure.
CORRECTION
Follow the programming procedure as given in this service bulletin.
- With the ignition key off, connect the Tech 2 Scan Tool to the vehicle.
- Turn on the Scan Tool.
- From the Suzuki Start Screen press ENTER.
- Select F0: DIAGNOSTICS from the menu and press ENTER.
- Select NEW then press ENTER.
- Select NORTH AMERICAN then press ENTER.
- Select FORENZA then press ENTER, at the Body screen press ENTER.
- Select RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) then press ENTER.
- Select MISC TEST then press ENTER.
- Select KEYLESS TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION then press ENTER.
- At the TRANSMITTER REGISTRATION confirmation screen, press ENTER.
- Press BOTH the LOCK & UNLOCK buttons at the same time on the Transmitter (Key) and release.
- Press the UNLOCK button on the Transmitter (Key).
- To continue programming Transmitters* press ENTER
, then repeat steps 12 & 13, if complete pressEXIT

*The Forenza is capable of programming 4 keys.
