Esteem, Swift & VITARA 1.6L & 2.0L 4-Cylinders

Turn ignition off. Disconnect TP sensor connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals of TP sensor connector. See Fig 1 . See THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. Replace sensor if readings are not as specified.
