Preliminary Procedures Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT . Remove the underhood electrical center/junction block. Refer to UNDERHOOD ELECTRICAL CENTER OR JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT . Remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT SIDE .
1	Hood Latch Release Cable Tip: Disconnect the cable from the hood latch release cable handle before attempting to remove the cable.
