*Drive-E Low oil level is now off of Prior Approval for P3 vehicles.
*A new Engine Control Module (ECM) Software (SW) and new oil trap are available for this symptom

If low oil message is shown in DIM, follow advice under "service".

PRODUCT MODIFICATION

MATERIAL RETURN

Material can be requested via the vehicle report.

VEHICLE REPORT

When submitting a Vehicle Report for a condition described in this TJ, use concern area "Vehicle Report and sub concern area "Support Not Needed" with function group 2200.

Report if there is a case after the indicated structure week range or if this TJ does not remedy the concern for a vehicle within the structure week range above.

SERVICE

Check first for external leakages from the engine.
Perform an ECM upgrade with VIDA.
Read the oil amount with VIDA and add oil up to a total amount of 5.9L (including filter).
NOTE: ignore the readings from VIDA after the filling because cars before structure week 201413 can only read a maximum of 5.6L.
Check the engine serial number and if it's before serial 001171576, install a new oil trap with PN: 31430923 according the procedure in VIDA.
