Preparing to check the oil level
Move the gear selector through all positions. Wait in each position for approximately 3 seconds
Low level (topping up)
Top up with oil through the dipstick pipe
High level (overfilling)

Drain off oil
Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults
Inspect terminals visually
Open-circuit, intermittent faults
Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults
Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults
Loose connections (terminals)
Contact resistance and oxidation
