Removal & Installation
- Remove engine covers. See Figure. Disconnect ignition coil electrical connectors. Disconnect high-tension spark plug cables. Remove fasteners for both ignition coils and pull coils straight up off spark plugs.
- Check rubber and springs inside coils. Replace if necessary.
- Install ignition coils. Gray coil goes to cylinders 2 and 3. Blue coil goes to cylinders 1 and 4. See Fig 1. Tighten coil fasteners to specification. Connect high-tension cables, reconnect connectors and check function. Install engine covers if coils function properly.
