The central locking system is a distributed system. Those parts which are included in the system are:

rear electronic module (REM)
central electronic module (CEM)
driver door module (DDM)
passenger door module (PDM)
driver information module (DIM)
climate control module (CCM)
upper electronic module (UEM)
switch for unlocking the fuel tank filler cover
lock units in doors
lock motor at the fuel tank filler cover
lock unit for tailgate/trunk lid.
