Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Ignition ON. Read out system voltage. If system does not read approximately battery voltage, go to next step.
  2. Connect breakout box. See CONNECTING & DISCONNECTING BREAKOUT BOX .
  3. Check circuit between ECM terminal B11 and battery for an open circuit. Repair as necessary. See appropriate ENGINE PERFORMANCE WIRING DIAGRAMS article. See Figure-Figure .
  4. Disconnect breakout box when repair is complete. Verify repair. Ignition OFF. Ensure components and connectors are properly installed. Ignition ON. Read out system voltage. System should read approximately battery voltage.
