Transmission Fluid Level, Checking: Notes
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler - Adapter:VAS6617/11
- Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler Kit:VAS6617
Risk of injury due to fluid escaping.
Irritation and injury to the skin and eyes are possible.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Wear safety gloves.
Refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA) for the transmission fluid allocation.
-- Remove the plug for the transmission fluid fill and check hole -arrow-.
Conditions
- The vehicle must be level when checking the transmission fluid level.
- The transmission fluid level is correct when the transmission fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the fluid filler hole.
Fill Transmission Fluid
-- Engage the Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler Kit:VAS6617 with Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler Kit - Adapter:VAS6617/11 .
-- Fill the transmission fluid using the Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler Kit:VAS6617 and Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler - Adapter:VAS6617/11 up to the lower edge of the oil filler hole.
-- Install and tighten the new plug for transmission fluid filling and checking -arrow-.
