Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting

Procedure 

Adjusting is described as an example for a LHD vehicle.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Refer to DEACTIVATE THE APP FUNCTION  .

-- Activate "one-touch wiping" and let the windshield wiper arms run into their end position.

-- Switch the ignition off.

-- Loosen the windshield wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arms, Removing and Installing  .

-- Perform the wiper arm adjustment.

Driver Side 

Distance -a- from the end of the wiper blade to the plenum chamber cover -2- on the lower edge of the windshield must be 12 mm.

-- Adjust the end position of the wiper blade by repositioning the wiper arms -1-.

Front Passenger Side 

Distance -b- from the end of the wiper blade to the plenum chamber cover -2- on the lower edge of the windshield must be 13 mm.

-- Adjust the end position of the wiper blade by repositioning the wiper arms -1-.

Continuation for all vehicles 

-- Tighten the nuts -2- from the windshield wiper arms -1-.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Activate "one-touch wiping" and let the windshield wiper arms -1- run into their end position.

-- Switch the ignition off.

-- Check the wiper arm adjustment -1-.

-- Press the caps -3- on the wiper arms -1-.
