Battery A, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

Tip

If the battery is replaced, the battery data must be recorded before installing by writing it down, taking a picture, or scanning the QR code. QR-Code can be determined using the 2D-Scanner VAS 6161/1.

 

-- Place the protecting plate on the battery.

 

-- Insert the battery into the battery tray -1- so that the battery clamping strip touches the rear and side stops -arrows-.

Condition

 

-- Install the bracket -2-.

Condition

-- Tighten the bolt -3-.

-- Check the battery -1- for secure fit.

 

-- Connect the battery terminal clamp for the battery positive terminal -1-.

-- Tighten the nut -2-

 

-- Connect the battery. Refer to Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting  .

 

If the battery has been replaced:

-- Perform the necessary function/functions. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tool. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
