Peripheral Camera System, Calibrating

- Calibration System :VAS 721 001
Preparing
Condition
- Refer to: Necessity of Calibration .
- There may be no DTC memory entries present because they prevent the calibration.
Overview of the installed Calibration System VAS 721 001
- Left Calibration Field from the Calibration System :VAS 721 001
- Front Peripheral Camera -R243-
- Right Calibration Field from the Calibration System :VAS 721 001
- Right Peripheral Camera -R245-
- Rear Peripheral Camera -R246-
- Left Peripheral Camera -R244-
-- Check the camera images on the display unit.
-- Check the cameras, brackets, and retainers for damage, external influences, and secure fit.
-- Check and clear the DTC memory using the => Vehicle diagnostic tester.
-- Roll out the calibration fields to the left and right side, close to the vehicle.
Condition
- The arrows -1- must point in the direction of travel.
-- Install the end strips at the front and rear of the calibration fields.
-- Align the calibration fields to the left and right side, close to the vehicle.
- Dimension -a- = 2000 mm to 2500 mm ± 5 mm
Condition
- The crosshairs -2- must be centered with the front wheels.
- The dimension -b- must be the same on both sides
- The dimension -c- must be the same on both sides
Calibrating
Condition
- The => Vehicle diagnostic tester is connected.
-- Perform the "Peripheral Camera System, Calibrating" function using the => Vehicle diagnostic tester. Refer to: Diagnostic Entries .
