Steering Gear, Removing And Installing, AWD: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, while noting the following:
-- Position the steering gear -1- on the subframe -2-.
Condition
- The threaded bushings -3- of the steering gear -1- must be inserted into the holes -arrows- of the subframe -2-.
-- Perform the axle alignment. Refer to Axle Alignment .
-- Perform the steering angle sensor basic setting using the Vehicle diagnostic tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
If new steering gear was installed
-- Adapt the electromechanical power steering using the Vehicle diagnostic tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
