Threaded Insert, Inserting

-- Turn the threaded insert -3- onto the installation spindle until the driving pin -2- makes contact on the drive tab -1- of installation spindle.

-- Screw the threaded insert into the threaded plate until the threaded insert is flush with the outside of the threaded plate.

NOTE:

The threaded insert must be able to turn easily.

-- Then tighten the threaded insert an additional ¹ /₄ turn inward.

-- Remove the installation spindle.

-- Break off the threaded insert drive pin using the pin breaker.

-- Install the subframe. Refer to SUBFRAME WITHOUT STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
