Front Wheel Housing, Replacing, Partial Section: Installing: Welding

NOTE:

The straight line weld points must be as far as possible from the outer edge of the weld flange for strength.

-- Fit the new part to the vehicle resting on the Alignment Bracket Set and secure.

-- Check the fit with attachments.

-- Weld the front wheel housing -1- using a straight-line spot weld seam and gas-shielded arc plug weld seam.

-- Install the inner upper wheel housing longitudinal member. Refer to INSTALLING .

-- Install the upper wheel housing longitudinal member. Refer to INSTALLING .

-- Replace the threaded pin. Refer to THREADED PINS, REPLACING .

-- Install the engine mount retaining bracket on the right side.
