Battery (12V), Checking Battery Terminal Clamp For Secure Fit
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench
Tight battery terminal clamps assure trouble-free battery function and long service life.
Make sure the terminal clamp is attached completely to the battery terminal.
The battery clamp on positive terminal is not seated securely.
Short circuit or sparks possible.
- Always disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery negative terminal first.
-- Release the locking tab -3-.
-- Remove the high-voltage connection cover on the front of the vehicle -2-.
-- Remove the high-voltage connection cover on the front of the vehicle -1- from the guide.
-- Check the battery -1- for correct fitting, retighten the bolt -3- at the hold-down bracket -2- if necessary.

-- If installed, open the cover over the battery positive terminal.
-- Make sure the battery terminal clamps -1- and -3- are secure and if necessary, tighten the nuts -2- and -4-.
