Transmission Fluid Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Move the transmission to "P".

CAUTION:

The cooling system may be under pressure. Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

Burns to skin and other parts of the body are possible.

- Wear safety gloves.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Reduce the pressure: cover the coolant reservoir cap with a suitable towel and carefully open.

-- Open the coolant expansion tank cap -arrow-.

-- Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Clamp off the coolant hoses -1- and -2- using Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm :3094  -A-.

-- Place a cleaning cloth underneath, to catch any coolant leaking out.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses -1- and -2-.

-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122  .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the transmission fluid cooler -1-.

-- Remove the O-rings -arrows-.
