Emergency Release From P

Tip

This function is discontinued from MY 2023. For vehicles without an emergency release, the electrical system voltage must be established and the parking lock must be unlocked via the conventional controls.

-- Engage the parking brake.

-- Unclip and pull up the shift cover. Refer to Selector Lever Handle, Removing and Installing  .

-- Operate the emergency release in the -direction of the arrow- and put the transmission in the "N" position.

-- Operate the emergency release using a commercially available screwdriver -1- in the -direction of the arrow- and put the transmission in the "N" position.
