Front Axle Toe, Adjusting
-- Loosen the nut -2-. Counterhold at the hex fitting -arrow A- on the tie rod -1-.
-- Loosen the tie rod -1- at the tie rod end -3-. Position a suitable tool on the hex fitting -arrow A- and -arrow B- for this.
-- Adjust the toe on left and right wheels by turning the hex fitting -arrow A-. At the same time counterhold on the hex fitting -arrow B-.
CAUTION:
There is a risk of premature wear if the boot is twisted.
- Make sure the boot is not twisted when it is installed.
Condition
- Tighten the lock nut for the threaded piece only when the vehicle is resting on the ground
-- Tighten the lock nut -2-.
-- Check the toe specified value. Refer to AXLE ALIGNMENT SPECIFIED VALUES .
