Molded Foam Parts
Various hollow body areas in this vehicle are equipped with molded foam parts.
The molded foam parts reduce the transfer of driving noises in the vehicle interior.
Exact positions of molded foam parts are depicted at the beginning of the respective repair descriptions.
The molded foam replacement parts will react and foam only when the temperature is approximately 180 °C (356 °F). It is not possible to attain this temperature under workshop conditions. For this reason, use Butyl Sealing Cord:AKL 450 005 05 or Two-Part Filler Foam:D 506 KD1 A3 for positioning the molded foam parts when performing a repair.
