Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment. Set the ignition key outside of the vehicle.

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release and disconnect the connectors -3- from the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1-.

-- For vehicles with TV-Tuner - R78- put the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps :VAS 6223/9  -1- onto the connector of the MOST bus -2-.

-- Remove the wiring harnesses from the bracket -4- -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Tilt out the bracket -4- with the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1- downward.

-- Insert the two Radio Removal Tools :T10057  -A- into the release slots on the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1-.

• The points on the grip eyelets of the Radio Removal Tool :T10057  face outward.
• Both Radio Removal Tools :T10057  must engage.

-- Remove the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1- from the bracket -2- at the Radio Removal Tool :T10057  grip eyes -A-.

-- Press the locking tabs on the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and remove the Radio Removal Tool :T10057  -A-.
